QA Engineer — Digital Signage

About the role
We're looking for a QA Engineer to test our digital signage platform end to end. You'll be responsible for making sure content plays correctly, on the right screens, at the right time, every time.

What you'll do

• Write and execute test cases for core signage features: media playback, playlists, content scheduling, templates, and player/device management
• Test digital menu boards, including dayparting, price and item updates, and POS or data-feed driven content
• Test CRM and account-level functionality: user roles and permissions, organization/location hierarchies, and customer data flows
• Validate content publishing across different screen sizes, orientations, resolutions, and player hardware
• Test offline behavior, content sync, and recovery after network or power loss
• Perform regression testing on each release and maintain the regression suite
• Log clear, reproducible bugs, verify fixes, and track them to closure
• Work with product and engineering on requirements, edge cases, and release readiness
• Support UAT and occasionally reproduce customer-reported issues in the field

What we're looking for

• 4+ years in software QA, ideally on web-based or multi-device products
• Solid understanding of QA fundamentals: test planning, test case design, regression, and exploratory testing
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, or similar)
• Comfortable testing across browsers, devices, and media players
• Strong attention to detail and clear written communication
• Able to work with ambiguous requirements and ask the right questions

Nice to have

• Experience with digital signage, AV, POS, or restaurant technology
• Familiarity with API testing (Postman) and basic SQL
• Test automation experience (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
• Awareness of media formats, codecs, and streaming basics
